General Accessibility
If your browser is Internet Explorer 6
If you want to change the size of the text in your browser
Hold down the alt key Type V
This opens up the View menu
Hold down alt and type X
This opens up Text options Type L
This changes your text on screen to the largest font
If you want to change the background colour in your browser
From your browsers horizontal toolbar select Tools and click on Internet
options from the list.
On the tab labelled General, click the colours button.
A menu of colours should appear. Select your preferred background colour then
click ok.
Back on the General tab, select the accessibility option.
Four tick boxes should appear. Tick the three boxes listed under the
Formatting heading and click ok.
Back on the General tab again, click ok. The background should now be
converted to your selected colour.
If your browser is Netscape 6:
If you want to change the size of the text in your browser
When viewing a page in Netscape, press the control key and hold down the right
bracket key. This will make the print larger.
To make the print smaller press control and hold down the left bracket key.
If you want to change the background colour in your browser
From your browsers horizontal toolbar select Edit and click on
Preferences... from the list.
Under the Appearance menu, click Colours.
Select your preferred background colour, deselect Use system colours and
select Use my chosen colours, ignoring the colours specified.
Click OK. The background should now be converted to your selected colour.

To move virtual cursor to bottom of webpage click Ctrl and Home
To move virtual cursor to bottom of page click Ctrl and End
To book mark the current page as a favourite click Ctrl and D
To activate hyperlinks on the page use Ctrl and Click.
Press Tab to tab through the links and press enter to open the link.

To move the virtual cursor to read text in blocks press Insert and Enter
To go forward to next page use Alt and right arrow
To go back to previous page use Alt and left arrow
To list links press Insert and F7
To activate link from list press Alt and A
To move to next link press the Tab key
To move to previous link press Shift and Tab
Screen Reader Dolphin Supernova general internet access options
Dolphin’s Virtual Focus gives you automatic keyboard access to web pages.
Cycle between all the controls on a page pressing Left Control Page Up and Left
Control Page Down.
Use the Tab key to go from from link to link
Use Left Ctrl + Page Down to move between text areas and between links.
To cycle through links press Left Control + cursor up.
To hear the URL of a link press Left Shift + Num Pad 0
To Start the Document reader press Num Pad.
