We are delighted that you have visited our website and want you to make the most of your visit.

We have a great deal to offer, whether you are a health professional or carer seeking information, a student researching disability, an employer looking for advice or a person  looking for help in overcoming many of the disabilities that society puts in your way.  We can help.

There are a number of methods to help you to move around the site easily.

Vale Royal Disability Services is a user-led voluntary organisation.  We are an independent Disability Service Provider with volunteers comprising the majority of our personnel.  Our principal aim is to improve the quality of life of disabled people, primarily within the Vale Royal area of Cheshire, and provide free, confidential and impartial information to disabled people, their family, friends, carers and professionals working in the field of disability

VRDS manages a number of different services in Vale Royal Borough:

The VRDS Information Point is located in the Integrated Care Centre at the Victoria Infirmary in Northwich.  This supplements our head office telephone information service with face-to-face information.

VRDS Community Learning provides learning opportunities for everyone, irrespective of ability.  The VRDS Learning Centre offers a range of courses that covers all areas from life skills to work-related training.  There is also a significant investment in adaptive technology, so that no-one feels excluded. 

VRDS Shopmobility is in Northwich and Winsford.  Shopmobility is a service that lends manual and powered wheelchairs and powered scooters to members of the public with limited mobility, enabling them to shop and use the leisure and commercial facilities of the town and shopping centre.  There is also a wheelchair loan service.
